ALAMOTION & FANDANGO Dance Troupes - SA Parks & Recreation, Special Programs Division

Sponsored by the San Antonio Parks & Recreation Special Programs Division, dancers ages 11 to 19 in the area are invited to audition for one of two dance troupes: Alamotion and Fandango. Alamotion focuses on tap, ballet, jazz and hip hop; while Fandango performs Mexican Folkloric and Spanish Flamenco. Both troupes perform at the Arneson River Theatre and at various venues throughout the city.

Cloggers Showcase of San Antonio

The Cloggers' Showcase is an annual two-day major event held at the Arneson River Theatre in May of each year. The production showcases from 400 to 500 dancers and two bluegrass bands. There are colorful costumes, fast and fancy footwork and dancers of all age groups from three to senior citizens.
