February 2-March 2, 2012
Add Review/Comment
This annual exhibit commemorates the 1848 signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, and the beginning of the Mexican American as a political entity in the United States. The ending of the U.S. Mexican War and the redistribution of a border creating a new bicultural citizenry, which brought about a new consciousness of Mexican American dual identity, history and traditions. The Segundo de Febrero Exhibit is a visual dialogue of our Chicano identity since the signing of the Treaty, one hundred and sixty two years later.
