The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center presents Viva Mi Cultura, a free hour-long presentation of traditional Mexican Folkloric dance featuring the Guadalupe Dance Company. The lively performance will be held at the historic Guadalupe Theater, 1301 Guadalupe Street, on Thursday, October 4 at 1:00 p.m. for school children and at 6:30 p.m. for the general public.

The presentation includes a "mini” dance class on stage and a question and answer session at the end of the performance. “Viva Mi Cultura” fosters pride, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of traditional dance and music. One of the goals of the Guadalupe Dance Company is to reach San Antonio’s youth and keep the cultural ties between Mexico and San Antonio alive. Viva Mi Cultura is sponsored by the City of San Antonio Diez y Seis de Septiembre Commission.

Educators are invited to reserve space for the special free performance on Thursday, October 4, at 1 p.m. For more information, call Dance Company director Jeannette Chavez at 210-271-3151, extension 224 or visit www.guadalupeculturalarts.org.
