    Alamodome

    The Alamodome is a city owned and operated multi-purpose sports entertainment facility located in downtown San Antonio. The Alamodome is conveniently located within a 7-10 minute walk from major hotels and restaurants,approximately 9 miles south of the San Antonio International Airport. The facility is in the business of booking and staging events of all types and, after opening in May 1993, the Alamodome has become a significant Texas venue for presenting major sporting events, concerts and conventions. The Alamodome is a 64,382 seat Stadium and an 8,000 to 35,000 Arena. Through the use of portable and fixed telescopic seating and portable curtains it is capable of being configured for both stadium events and arena events.
