On the Half-Shell Bar

      PuroSlam Poetry On the Half-Shell Bar PuroSlam Poetry Presented by PuroSlam Poetry at On the Half-Shell Bar February 7, 2012-February 28, 2014 PuroSlam is the only nationally certified poetry slam operating in San Antonio, Texas. A poetry "slam" is similair to an open mic in that everyone can read. It differs in that poets are scored 1-10 by randomly selected audience members over the course of three rounds. PuroSlam is a rough reading for those used to the conventional open mic being the audience is given more respect than the poet.
